Thunder, rain and possible tornado weather plus a consumer grade Cisco Cable Modem failure hit at the same time, relatively speaking. The Cisco modem went back to its maker. New modem is a ARRIS WBM760 that has a normal User Interface. Cisco added the Suit Design It Feature -- no UI for displaying modem status.[--]

My Audio Did Not Seem Quite Right! Test Tool Time!
I have a chicken wire and patch cord audio system. Three different make, model and year speakers. Well, they seemed to have lost the edge they once had. Flat was, well too flat and the bass was rumble city.
The fix is simple use a calibrated source. THX
The image you see is deliberately posted because I think it is a silly thing for the source to require folks to do. Easier to just suck the video out of the net and park it on you private account in the Caymans.

BlackCats and Halloween [photos]
Being a black cat on Halloween is hard. You have no idea what those little monsters do. Look at last years photo? What is that stuff on my head? Cheetos® dust from the little rug rat's hand. Should have bit him but my agent (a person) forbids that. Not only that, the party monsters want tricks. Play Dead Kitty! I am not a dog but do it anyway.

Youtube HTML5 staring; Bad Romance & Alien Weed

Sci-Fi 'ish music videos make for better testing than some dry lecture; really is better than blah, blah, blah. Well, some say p0rn is more fun but this is a G-Rated test. [tip: Want to surf p0rn sign up with a company that filters it and proof those URL submits.]
First up is Lady Gaga. My ears tire of pop music quickly but the video is interesting. This embed (The Red One) is fully customized (via youtube); size, color, privacy, what's related and fullscreen. It is standard Flash HTML code.

The Second embed is HTML5. The fun part here is when the browser is not HTML5 ready - plain old Flash player is used. The question is: what will google do? Sorry couldn't resist that. So, what will youtube do a runtime? I don't know, will see.

Ok, that one is just for fun. Aliens have killer weed? Yeah they better, they have the killer spaceships.
Results:
1. I expected both embeds to finish the same, i.e., just a replay button. The only difference in the setup at youtube was putting a check mark in the iframe box, they should be the same; no next video just a replay button. A side effect of pressing next video is a black screen when video ends.

Dept. of TwoCents: Rubicon - Did AMC go to the BCC School of Quality Entertainment?
Usually the BBC or BCCAmerica has short series that are a step above the offerings by ABC, CBS, NBC, FOX and cable networks. The exception in the cable network crowd is AMC and to some extent TNT. Lately AMC has jumped way above its rivals with the series Rubicon. There have been other short series on the network but Rubicon has the mood and some of the look of The Eleventh Hour. It just looks BBC; maybe the BBC school of Quality Entertainment?
Here is what AMC has to say:
"Rubicon is an incredible story about trust and power born out of the desire to find a way to capture the intensity and mystery of the best conspiracy thrillers in a series. It is a show that appeals to everyone who has some skepticism about the relationship between big business and our government, which we think is pretty much everybody,” said Joel Stillerman, SVP of original programming, production and digital content for AMC.

In the 'Sea of TV Programming' a few big fish survive because they do have an audience, one starving to death on low calorie script writing & performance. Call me stuffy or cranky but 99% of TV shows people talk about I can't watch or never watch, i.e., primetime cartoons, anything with a laugh track and of course "Reality TV" (There is no reality on TV except Science/History/Education. Double 'no reality' for local & 24hr news) .
